BLOCK OF THE MONTH

I have just finished my sample quilt. Wow! What a fun quilt to make! The quilt is 100” x 112” so it will fit a king or look great on my queen size bed with a drop just about to the floor. The complete kit includes over 23 yards of fabric and 12 full size patterns.

I am going to make the quilt again but this time I will assemble the blocks to make 3 – lap quilts. I will write up the directions and give it out as a bonus pattern.

You have two choices on how you go about purchasing the kits:

1. Buy each month individually. We will have them in stock so you can go at your own pace. Finish one and pick up your next block. You don’t have to wait a month. Each month’s kit includes the fabric and pattern. Some months you may make 2 blocks or 8 blocks etc. The last kit includes border instructions and 5 yards of fabric for the borders. We have averaged the price out per kit – 12 kits at $28.95 each and shipping if applicable.

2. Buy the entire 12 months of fabric and patterns at once for $295.00 and save.

We do have a limited supply of wide back (108”) coordinating fabric at $12.25 per yard. You will need 3 1/2 yards.

I will be teaching a class on this quilt on Saturday, February 27, 2010. We will work on month #1 and I will help you familiarize yourself with the patterns and the techniques involved in making the quilt. I will also have tips on some of the other blocks.
